I'm Victoria Pater, a passionate and creative individual currently pursuing a Master’s in Animation at the University of the Arts London: London College of Communications. I previously graduated a semester early from Emerson College with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Media Arts, concentrating in Animation and minoring in Pre-Law.
My academic journey at Emerson was transformative, providing me with a strong foundation in animation and proficiency in tools such as Adobe Animate, After Effects, Maya, and DragonFrame. Now, at UAL, I am expanding my expertise and exploring new dimensions in animation, driven by a commitment to creating impactful and innovative visual stories.
My creative interests are wide-ranging, spanning the realms of Stop-motion Animation, 2-D Animation, 3-D Animation, and motion graphics. I'm on a mission to leverage the art of animation to create a meaningful and positive impact on our world.
My skill set includes 2D and 3D animation (with expertise in Maya), storyboarding, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Animate, Audition, Premiere), compositing, video editing, sound editing and design, rendering, and lighting. I'm also proficient with graphic tablets and pen displays.
I graduated a semester early from Emerson College with a BA in Visual Media Arts and a minor in Pre-Law in the spring of 2023. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Animation at the University of the Arts London: London College of Communications.
During my time at Emerson, I actively engaged in various clubs and demonstrated my leadership and creative skills. I served in notable roles including Standards, Sergeant at Arms, and Sunshine Chair for Delta Kappa Alpha (DKA). Additionally, I contributed as the Social Media Manager and Audio Engineer for the National Broadcasting Society (NBS), and held key positions in Emerson Treble Makers as Deputy, Soprano, and Social Media Manager.
My dedication to the craft of animation was recognized with the Outstanding Television News Program Evvy Award, an accolade I received for my role as Executive Producer on the show Good Morning Emerson.
I have garnered numerous accolades and honors for my high school short films and animations.
I gained valuable experience through various internships and work opportunities. At Connected Stories: Hyper TV, I collaborated on dynamic advertisements for major brands, managing campaigns and analytics. During my Animation and Photoshop Internship at Suri and Huacaya LLC in 2021, I created product advertisements and promotional animations. I also worked as an Animations and Editing Intern at Fish Factory Films, editing animated clips for projects like "Last Exit On The Milky Way." Additionally, I contributed to the digital presence of Campbell and Pruchnik Law Firm, handling estate appraisals, website redesign, and client asset postings.
